Third Eye Blind holds a legacy that is unmatched. During the release of their debut, their phenomenal breakthrough hit, “Semi Charmed Life,” was unstoppable. The single broke into the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 4 and topping the Alternative Airplay and Pop Airplay charts. The song eventually earned quadruple platinum status in the U.S. after massive amounts of airplay. The song was basically on MTV nonstop, and for good reason. With the rampancy of grunge bands and angst-driven music at the time, Third Eye Blind was a breath of fresh air - playing upbeat rock tunes with light-hearted lyrics.
This 2024 Third Eye Blind showcases their myriad of hits that conquered the airwaves, as well as staples from their latest albums. Expect a number of iconic songs from their best-selling debut effort, as well as their highly successful sophomore album, Blue. Third Eye Blind has released a total of seven studio efforts, all of which demonstrate their outstanding music style. For their tour announcement, the band released a statement, “I have this sense that I am feeling the same way everybody else is — that we need a summer tour so badly, like more than ever. Third Eye Blind brings along their special guests, Yellowcard and Arizona. Yellowcard pretty much came out in the same decade as Third Eye Blind, but they rose to prominence in 2003 upon releasing their major label debut, Ocean Avenue. The highly-acclaimed work spawned the title track, which also became their biggest hit, as well as the pop rock anthem, “Only One.” For this upcoming Summer Gods Tour, Yellowcard will also be delivering their career-spanning works ranging from their debut album in 1997 all the way to their latest self-titled album, which was dropped in 2016.
Arizona is the newbie out of the bunch, but they are no strangers to hitting the charts. The band’s debut album, Gallery, made waves on the Billboard charts, peaking at number 24 on the Top Alternative Albums and number 4 on the Top Heatseekers. This 2024, Arizona will be promoting their latest self-titled album, which was released in the spring of last year.
