Xfinity Center - MA
Chicago & Styx come to the Xfinity Center on Sunday, July 26th. This is quite simply shaping up to be THE best old school rock show of the year. They're calling the road trip The Windy Cities Tour. As things stand, we might just have long sets from both of these two iconic bands. There are no opening acts confirmed, and that may be for the best. Who really wants to take the stage before Styx and Chicago blow the audience away?
It's going to be a stroll down memory lane with two bands that are capable of crafting a setlist that will feature hit after hit. That's something that you're not going to see every day. A lot of times, these live shows have that let-down moment, but with these two, the show's going to be full throttle from the moment they pull the curtains back. Hit the "Buy Tickets" link now to grab your seats for this one.
Step into a literal page in music history! This year, there won't be a reunion tour or a special occasion where you'll find more talent taking the stage than at this Windy Cities Tour. Not to provide any spoilers out here, but you gotta believe that the main event's going to kick off with some of those iconic Chicago horns. The moments where Chicago and Styx share the stage are likely going to turn into the most memorable. This concert is a collection of talent, classics, and grace, even! A Hall of Fame band and one that should be in the Hall are sharing the stage, and you can be in on the fun.
There are no secrets to this one; these bands are going to be playing all of their hits. "Renegade" and "Babe" are going to be followed by "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" and "If You Leave Me Know." In the past, Styx, for example, loved to do mashups of their songs and have the band that they're on tour with chimming in. This means that we're in line to hear some never-before-seen live renditions of songs that you know and love. The combination of these two iconic bands makes the performance extra special.
The pit's going to have five different sections. Don't think that a ticket to that area for this concert means you can automatically wiggle your way up right next to the stage. Still, some of the same suggestions apply; make sure you get here early to still claim a spot. If you're looking for a good deal on tickets, then the lawn is where you need to be. Those spots are starting at around $80. That's a steal for a show of this caliber, and you know it.
If you click the "Buy Tickets" link today, you're still in line to find some great spots to witness what promises to be one of the best concerts of the year at this venue.
