Lil Durk’s summer trek is slated to cover over 20 cities in North America. The outing, titled Sorry for the Drought Tour, is held to support Lil Durk’s brand new album, Almost Healed, which is set for release in spring. The 2023 effort has already been preceded by the lead single, “All My Life,” featuring J. Cole. The single peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop and Hot Rap Songs. Besides the U.S., the single performed phenomenally overseas, entering the charts in 11 other countries. “All My Life” follows a string of Durk’s official releases and non-album singles. Last year, he dropped four collaboration songs, “Hot Shit” with Cardi B and Kanye West, “Did Shit to Me” featuring Doodie Lo,” “Keep Dissing 2” with Real Boston Richey,” and “Ikea Rug” with Chris Brickley. In addition to these singes, Durk also dropped his seventh effort, 7220.
Released in 2022, 7220 became Durk’s first record to simultaneously top the Billboard 200, Top R&B Albums, and Top Rap Albums. The album spawned several Hot 100 singles, such as the platinum-certified “Broadway Girls,” the gold-certified hits “Ahhh Ha” and “Pissed Me Off,” as well as “Golden Child” and “Computer Murderers.” With the album dropping nothing but bangers, Lil Durk became one of the hottest rappers of 2022. And with a brand new album on the way, the Chicago-born performer is set to conquer the nation with live shows and more phenomenal hits.
Critically-acclaimed rapper Kodak Black joins Durk on this much-awaited outing. Last year, the prolific hip-hop artist released his latest album, Back for Everything. The effort achieved commercial success, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop and Top Rap Albums. This 2023, Black will also be coming out with a brand new album, Pistols & Pearls.
Rap wunderkind NLE Choppa is currently hip-hop’s fastest-rising star. In 2020, he made a remarkable breakthrough with his debut album, Top Shotta. The effort debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and number 6 and 7 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop and Top Rap Albums charts. The album, which spawned hits “Camelot,” “Walk Em Down,” and “Shotta Flow 5,” sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S., earning Choppa his first gold certification. Earlier this year, Choppa released his sophomore effort, Cottonwood 2, as the sequel to his 2019 EP, Cottonwood. The album featured the hit “Ain’t Gonna Answer,” featuring Lil Wayne.
