Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa – the worldwide famous Metal band Slipknot have truly stormed the world with their intense catalogue of long standing releases and are known for their epic performances! This Spring, Slipknot will be joining the Knotfest Roadshow line up – making 2020 an even bigger and better event than before – get ready and secure your place in the crowd for this unforgettable night!
Slipknot founded all the way back in 1995 and have grabbed the attention of their ever loving fan base ever since. With their initial lineup consisting of percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After many changes throughout their early years with its members, the band stayed as a firm unit with nine members for over ten years in a row: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root. However when Gray passed away in 2010, the group had to update their line-up once again but have continued to create music and perform with guitarist Donnie Steele. And their newest members to date, Alessandro Venturella on bass and Jay Weinberg on drums.
With aggressive metal throughout their soundscape, Slipknot have given to the world their undoubtably instantly recognizable soundscape that has truly become iconic. That matched with their on stage image of wearing masks has made them one of the most unique bands on the scene and have influenced many other artists since they first made their debut in the 1990s. With their incredible releases they have sold a total of thirty million albums worldwide and continue to embark on global tours to bring their biggest tracks to the stage.
