Chris Stapleton is a highly-acclaimed singer-songwriter who emerged from Nashville, Tennessee, in 2001. The prolific songwriter signed with an independent music label to write music for accomplished artists like Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Sheryl Crow, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, and more. In 2010, Stapleton formed The Jompson Brothers, a southern rock band that enjoyed regional fame. The band has dropped a couple of independent releases and even toured with Zac Brown Band as a support act. However, three years later, Stapleton signed with the major label, Mercury Nashville, to pursue his solo career. In 2015, he released singles “Traveller” and “Nobody to Blame.” Both songs, which entered the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs chart, were later certified platinum in the U.S. Both songs, along with the 2016 single “Parachute,” were featured in Stapleton’s highly-acclaimed debut album, Traveller. Upon its release, the six-time platinum effort topped the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums charts.

After his stellar debut, Stapleton released several more highly-acclaimed platinum-certified studio efforts. His latest album Starting Over was released in November 2020. The record, which spawned hits “Starting Over,” “Cold,” and “Joy of My Life,” peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Country Albums chart. The record notably won three awards, including Album of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards and Academy of County Music Awards. Last year, the album won Stapleton his eighth Grammy after bringing the Best Country Album Award.
